What can I expect at a worship service?

Our purpose in worship services is to bring glory to God and to study His Word. This is accomplished through the various parts of the service:

We have two services that are very different in form and worship.

9:30am - This service is a traditional service where Hymns and well known songs are part of worship. The piano along with the organ and brass ensemble make worship a beautiful experience.

11am - This service is contemporary and insightful. The worship team is made out of guitars, drums, keys and a horn section, they play songs with an upbeat tone and contemporary feel.

Through a detailed study of a portion of the Bible, we seek to better understand God’s character, plan and purpose. Bibles are available in each pew for those who may not have one with them.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness”. 2 Timothy 3:16

God is praised and worshipped through both instrumental and vocal music.
“O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD. Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation”. Psalm 95:1

It is our privilege to bring praise, thanksgiving, confession and requests to God in times of prayer.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”. Philippians 4:6

We collect an offering to support the work of our church, as well as missions work in our country and around the world. This portion of the service is intended only for those who consider SWN their “church home”- guests are not expected to contribute. If you want to learn more about giving you may click here.
